In England, the use of rubber, and therefore the classic squirmy, has been banned in lake fly-fishing competitions. For this reason, a series of very good products are being developed from the competition world to replace it, and one of these is WORM CHENILLE PLUS GOLD.
It is a very soft chenille with a diameter of about 3 mm that moves very smoothly and naturally in water. When wet it takes on a gelatinous appearance that makes it look like something alive in the eyes of the fish.
Its entire length is covered with small, gold-coloured synthetic strips which, in contact with light, emit reflections and glows that stimulate the fish's natural curiosity.
Almost all colours of WORM CHENILLE PLUS GOLD react to UV rays from the sun, intensifying their colour in proportion to the amount of ultraviolet rays they come into contact with.
This chenille is perfect to tie nymphs and small streamers for both pond and stream fly fishing. To increase its strength, it is advisable to lightly burn the ends with a lighter.
